Attic and exterior bat inspections in North Carolina
Not every dusk fly-over means a colony in your house. North Carolina Wildlife Specialists inspects the attic interior and full exterior envelope—because Carolina bats rarely use just one hole—and gives you a clear map before any exclusion starts.
- Attic interior assessment
- Full exterior entry mapping
- Photo documentation
- NCWRC maternity timing guidance
- Clear exclusion / cleanup recommendations
- Same-day often available

What we look for
Guano piles, grease rub marks, urine staining, nesting chatter, and synchronized dusk exits from soffits, ridges, chimneys, and brick weeps. We document openings with photos so you see what we see.
Interior plus exterior
Attic hatches alone miss fascia returns and chimney crowns. Our inspections cover both sides of the envelope on brick ranches, craftsman homes, multifamily roofs, and commercial parapets.
Timing advice you can plan around
Bat maternity blackout (LAW): May 1 – July 31. Exclusion work is scheduled August 1 – April 30, with inspection and planning available year-round. Inspection and planning are available year-round so you are ready when exclusion opens.
Frequently asked
